year of the rabbit

A happy new year to all,  and hoping these words find you well. Quite a few events this spring to consider, and a call for podcast to support the iTunes U and ECIS pilot project.

I would like to highlight this  portal http://www.bbc.co.uk/virtualrevolution/, rich in resources, and including a section containing a collection of short interviews by writers, columnist, journalist and University researchers sharing  their perspectives on the virtual revolution, some great segments to support conversations and activities with parents, students and faculty.

iTunes U and ECIS: looking for submissions

Dear International Colleagues,

ECIS and Apple are partnering in an initiative to bring iTunesU to K-12. The infrastructure for this is already in place, however its ultimate success depends upon the willingness of K-12 teachers to build and share digital content geared toward supporting and enhancing learning. This exciting prospect could result in an ever-growing, centralized bank of resources available for K-12 teachers and students, which your school could help pioneer.
I have attached a sample podcast created by one of our maths teachers to provide a basic frame of reference.
Should you and/or anyone at your respective schools be interested in participating, whether of not you are already podcasting to bolster your lessons, please contact me (“Leah Treesh” <ltreesh@mis-munich.de>,) or appoint one point of contact to communicate directly with me (“Leah Treesh” <ltreesh@mis-munich.de>,) concerning your school’s potential participation. In addition, please forward this notice to anyone (they need not be in the EU or in an ECIS member school) whom you believe may be interested in learning more about this initiative.

Best regards, Leah Treesh
