It seems like driverless cars are going to become a mainstream reality. It will change the lives of millions of people – maybe it is the largest technological change that society has seen (big words). The potential of this technology is amazing but they will bring to the forefront a range of moral dilemmas for society. Driverless cars have the potential of dramatically reducing the number of road accidents (and deaths) but they will also have the ability to make split second decisions which human drivers haven’t, previously, consciously had to answer.
